Super Smash Bros. – Character Reveal Prediction
Nintendo have announced that they will be announcing a new fighter entering the roster for Super Smash Bros. on 3DS and Wii U. The announcement will be live-streamed instead of just thrown upon us randomly.
My prediction for who this character will be is pretty obvious. It wont be a third party character as there were a few of those announced during E3. Also there aren’t many big first party Nintendo franchises left to pick from.

E3 Predictions 2014 Edition – Nintendo
So, you’re interested in seeing what Nintendo, or ‘The Big N’ are bringing to the party huh? Well, luckily for you I have made some predictions of what we will see next week! I’m going to give you a rundown of what the Nintendo Direct will showcase. Keep in mind that this is not in order of appearance, but the order in which I made them up. I mean visioned… Yes, visioned…
The mighty King Koopa
I love the utter look of defeat that Bowser shows when he fails to win a race.
The Adventure is Over: How Working in a Video Game Store Ended It – Part 1
Video games are something I enjoy greatly. Especially when there is an amazing narrative involved. Gameplay is king and nice graphics help too. Being able to immerse one’s self into a world of escapism for an unmetered amount of hours is an amazing thing. But for me, that’s not all there is to video games.
The lead up to getting a game used to be an adventure. The event of getting a game used to be an adventure. From reading about upcoming releases in magazines to booting the game in the console and all the events in-between is what used to make the adventure for me.
But… Working in a video game store took that away.

The new era of adventures kicked in, but I can’t remember what came first, Game Boy Advance or Gamecube. I got My Gamecube at launch but not the GBA. I would check the receipt for the date that I purchased it, but it’s in the GBA box in the roof right now. I’ll lead with GBA though, as it was a split second decision to buy it, yet a mini adventure of it’s own.
It was 2001, I was 16 and I had a job at the local pizza place, so I had a bit of coin. We were in the city for some reason, and were in Toys R Us. They had a huge display of GBAs

2005 comes along and I’ve been out of school for a few years. I was working, so I wasn’t short a buck and Nintendo were about to release the handheld innovation, the Nintendo DS. After hearing rumours from an announcement that the new system would have two screens, reading about it in magazines, searching everyday on the internet and finally seeing the thing unveiled at E3, you could say I was a little bit excited.
Ryan and I both had pre-orders at EB Games in the city. I’m 99% certain I was meant to be at TAFE the day the machine came out, but I decided that this was far more important than doing what I was meant to be doing… Working on a website and video promotional package for Camp Quality… A charity foundation for kids with cancer…
